I have not been able to perfect my sound and was wondering what you use for generating the sound when you play the robin trower tracks. He is one of the main guitarists that motivated me to play! Thanks again for inspiring me to keep Jammin!

Trower uses the common Hendrix set up; A Fender Strat, Marshall amps, wah, Uni-Vibe,... Now from your email I see you have a Fender Twin, RP-5 and a Rarebird guitar made by a friend of yours. The Fender Twin has a very clean sound and when overdriven has "the Fender sound", not a Marshall. You need to make up for the tone through various effects pedals. You might want to take the amp and guitar to a music store and try various distotion pedals. You might try some of the Korg products as well as others. Also check out a good Uni-Vibe pedal (Dunlop,...). I think this will do the trick for you.
Keep Jammin'!
