I am trying to learn to use pinched harmonics. I can pick the harmonic but cant get it to sustain. I mean make it sing like Joe Satrinani and most accomplished players do. I know distortion and gain are major players in this. My question is, can I do this with the amp modeling software (pod) or is this more a wattage thing (as in, more is better) and if that’s the case, is that strictly tube amp territory or can I do this with an electronic amp?
Thanks

To help create sustain, turn up the volume on your amp. Make sure your guitar volume and tone controls are all the way up too. Face the pickups towards the speakers. Add vibrato to the note that you're trying to sustain.

See if that helps.

Thank you Lyle. Big difference. I play mostly through my computer but pugged into my amp, cranked it and there it was. I tried the computer through an amp, same thing. Didn't know I would be able to feed back through a Virtual amp but works the same. Thanks again,
Eric
