I'd like to get a not so country sound out of my bends. For some odd reason I just can't hit a good metal bend no matter the guitar/amp/effects I use, always sounds really bluesy or very country. If you find something out please do post it here for everyone.

one thing you can do is say you on the 12 fret of the b string bending 1/2 half step (up to a C) with your index finger you can play the C note on the high E string at the same time as a sort of guide so you'll be able to hear when you bent note reaches the right pitch. With some practice you'll be able to train your ear and fingers as to when the correct pitch is reached.

You can also play a C note and immediately after that just using your 'memory of that sound' bend a B note up to a C.
