I take in all 6 of my guitars, 8 if you count my accoustics for a pro setup once a year. From there I simply fine tune them as needed till their next setup appointment.

Also nobody has mentioned strings in this thread. Personally I find them essential for a clear crisp tone. I change the ones on my main guitars every 2 to 4 wks. Others as needed.
