Hey everyone :)
I have an odd question for anyone who can answer it...
Now, I'm proud to say that for someone who's not a music major, I have a good grasp of musical terminology and theory. However, I have to admit...I hear the term 'vamp' a lot, but I really don't know what it refers to. Can anyone tell me what exactly a vamp really is?
Thanks much!
Jalle

Words like comp, groove, strum, might all be synonymous with vamp. It's like a generic term for playing rhythm parts.

Oh, well...that would explain it.
Thanks a lot Lyle!
