So your computer has 2 sound devices, one is the "Guitar Port" and the other is "AC97"? I'm not familar with the Guitar Port product, but doesn't it go through USB? That may explain the delay in the looping, based on how we do it in our software.

Maybe Guitar Port has updated drivers that might help. We will be improving and adding features to our software and I can think of a different way to implement the looping that may avoid such problems.

Guitar Port uses a USB interface.

I fixed this by using the older version of media player (mplayer2.exe) instead of WMP (wmplayer.exe).

Depending on your OS, both files should be located in C:/Program Files/Windows Media Player/
