Alot of Great guitar players have exclusely used the Fender Bassman for guitar for over 30 years. The tone achieved is incredible.

Bass amps are of course more bassy, used for basses, and low tuned guitars...personally i think thats crappy, but guitar amps are mainly for guitars, more trebly, the speaker and power section is not designed for the low end of bass guitars, thats why you dont need to use a bass on a guitar amp or even a guitar on a bass amp, just use them on their amp, unless you extra money lying around to buy a new poweramp or speaker.
