i cant do chords because my fingers would muting certain strings and is really pissing me off. is there anything i can do than sticking my fingers in a pencil sharpener

There are quite a few guitars that have much wider necks then others. They're usually designed for shredding and fast playing...but I think they make it easier for those of us with bigger fingers. A Jackson Soloist comes to mind as an example...although most of us can't quite afford guitars like those, but just as an example of what to look for ;)

Gibson SG guitars have extremely thin necks you might try one of those!

I would have to agree, mine's thin as anything...although it's an Epiphone line...but it's necks the same for the most part :P

It seems to me that he needs a wide neck not a narrow neck. I used to have a Kramer that had a thick and wide neck.
