Guitarists Who Shaped the 80s - Wednesday - Week 5

In today's example you'll learn how to play a chromatic lick. The chromatic scale consists of thirteen tones, including the eight scale tones and the five intermediate tones. In the lick below, you'll play a 3 note pull-off lick on the 1st string and moving it up the neck chromatically. When you play the pull-off lick, use your 1st and 3rd finger to play the lick. Then learn how to play the pull-off lick with your 1st and 4th finger. This will give your 4th finger a good workout, strengthening it for future licks that need the use of your little finger. Learn to play yesterday's lick along with this lick, as they are both in the same key and reminiscent of an Angus Young (AC/DC) type of lick.
