Stevie Ray Vaughan

 "Texas Flood" Intro
Performed by Wolf Marshall

Guitar: 1996 Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan model.
Effects: Ibanez TS-808 overdrive pedal.
The signal then was split R and L with a Boss digital delay stomp box (no effect, just signal separation).
Amps: The R side was sent to a 1967 Fender Super Reverb Amp and the signal here was buffered with a PMP Buff IV pre-amp to drive the long guitar cord. The L side went straight into a Soldano SLO-100 with the SRV mod and a 1970 Marshall 4x12 speaker cabinet.

1.  An original Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer was added to the front end of the sound, before splitting off into R and L amp paths. This gives both amps a gain boost. The TS-808 is a crucial part of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s distorted tone, although a TS-9 or newer Tube Screamer will still sound very good, especially with non-master-volume Fender combo amps on the verge of breakup distortion.
The TS-808 basic settings were all at the mid-way point: Overdrive at 12:00, Tone at 12:00 and Level at 12:00.

Basic amp settings:
Super Reverb: Vibrato channel, Volume 4, Treble 7, Middle 5, Bass 10, Reverb 2.5.

Soldano: SRV mode, Normal gain: Pre-amp 5, Bass 11, Middle 4.5, Treble 5, Normal Master 5, Presence 8.

Reverb was added to the Soldano sound at the board. This came from a Yamaha SPX-90 in the "Room" setting.

2.  The Strat's front pickup was used primarily.
