Psychedelic '60s - Blues Influences
Today's lick was inspired by Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker. I use this lick to create a sort of "Delta Blues" sound in my solos. The scale pattern is based on the E Minor Blues scale and uses hammers-ons and pull-offs on the 3rd and 5th strings. When you're feelin' down and lonely try playin' this lick and jammin' to the looping jam track below.
