This Steve Cropper type lick starts by picking the root of the E7 chord (12th fret/6th string) and then immediately strums the rest of the E7 chord on the 1st thru 5th strings. The second part of the lick plays notes on the 2nd and 3rd strings by barring your 1st & 3rd fingers and later bending two strings at a time with the 3rd finger.
