The following bluegrass lick starts by playing a hammer-on using the 2nd string (3rd to 5th frets), then playing the 1st and 2nd strings on the 3rd fret. You continue this lick by playing a pull-off on the 1st string (7th to 3rd fret), then playing the ending of the phrase on the 3rd and 5th frets (1st & 2nd strings) and resolving on the 3rd string/4th fret.
