In today's Lick of the Day you'll learn one of the heaviest rhythm licks of the early '80s reminiscent of Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist, Randy Rhoads. Truly a gifted and inspiring artist, Randy paved the way for other guitarists by combining classical and heavy metal riffs together. In this example you'll palm mute all the open A (5th) string notes creating a tight, percussive attack. As you strike the chords, lift your palm off the strings to let them ring clearly.
