Today's lick is reminiscent of guitarist Edward Van Halen. Eddie combined many techniques into his playing which inspired many other guitar players to copy and emulate his style. The example below illustrates a couple of Eddie's signature lick styles. As you learn this lick, notice that the chords change but the bass guitar in the jam track stays the same. This is a composition style of Eddie. The harmonics at the end of the lick is another technique Eddie used quite extensively through much of his playing.
