Lyle Ronglien >> Speed Techniques >>

Today's pull-off speed lick is made from the whole-tone scale. The whole-tone scale is made from a consecutive series of whole-steps (every two frets). This lick/exercise will strengthen your pinky and middle fingers, which will help in your quest for overall speed. Try alternating your pick direction for each string or just use all down strokes.
